“Kendra, you killed that song!” our producer, Paul Worley, exclaimed at our meeting a few days ago. “Wow, your voice blew me away.”

She’d just finished singing “Tell Me Why” one of her originals that stemmed from a personal experience. Her passionate lyrics tell the story of a heartbreak, crying, Why?

“Tell me why, you and me cannot be. We’ve tried.

We both know; gotta let go.

Is it you? Is it me? Is it not meant to be?

We can say that it’s love, but that just ain’t enough!

Tell me why-hy-hy?”

“Alisa, the tone you pulled out of that fiddle just made that song wail.” Paul continued.

He shook his head, “You guys have improved so much since I first met you. When was that? Two years ago?” “About a year and a half,” I said. He raised his eyebrows, “Yeah, you’re like a different band.” Great meeting! We’re so excited for the next one. Will keep you posted!
